Britten Weddings are an online retailer specialising in handmade bridal accessories including wedding veils, jewellery and hair accessories.
They had a good reputation and ranking for search terms related to veils but wanted to use an SEO agency to expand to get more business for their full product range, as well as improve their PPC – which is where we came in!

The Britten Wedding site is built on Shopify – a popular ecommerce platform that is quite restrictive when it comes to optimising for SEO. After some initial technical fixes such as improving site speed and deindexing irrelevant pages, the main bulk of the work was adding content to the category pages using target keywords.
After the groundwork was laid for the on-site SEO, the next step was to improve the number of backlinks to the site. This was primarily done through building links on the numerous wedding blogs as well as creating content such as ‘The History of the Royal Bridal Outfit’ to attract backlinks from other sites long-term.

Grew traffic to the website by over 60% year-on-year. Improved PPC revenue by 30% year-on-year.
Throughout the keyword research for SEO, Content Drive were able to pinpoint relevant keywords which helped enormously when we took over their PPC as well, where were able to deliver a better ROI because of this.
Monthly traffic up 62% year-on-year with revenue from 25% (April 2019 vs 2018).
This was primarily achieved through expanding the amount of content on collection pages, technical changes and building new backlinks to the site. This led to a big rankings boost particularly on the non-veil and long-tail keywords which were a weakness when we took on the account.
PPC revenue was up 30% year-on-year (March 2019 vs 2018).
